Who’s making money in this economy? Entrepreneurs are always looking for opportunity, even in hard times. True, it is sad to see people loosing jobs and struggling to make ends meet on the trivial amount they receive from their unemployment benefits. But it is possible to help them and help you at the same time. How? By providing people with the things they need and some of the things they want at significant discounts. Everyone loves a bargain. However when times are hard, everyone needs a bargain. A wise man once said "find a need and supply it you will become rich”. I personally have noticed the parking lots filling up in front at the flea markets and discount stores in my area. I’m sure they are in your area also. People need to save as much money as they can, especially today. I am buying more of what I need from liquidation stores and on eBay and less from traditional retailers like Wal-Mart (so long Sam). I recently bought enough deodorant and toothpaste on eBay, to last me six months, at about the price it would have cost me to buy enough for a month at Wal-Mart. And that is including the shipping. I didn’t bid on and auction, it was a “Buy it Now” so you know they made a profit. So, how could they sell that merchandise so inexpensively and still make a profit? Very easily, they were selling liquidation merchandise much like most of the power sellers on eBay. So how does this translate to making money? I found that you can invest in pallets of liquidation merchandise for as little as a couple hundred dollars or a full truckload for just a few thousand dollars. You then sell the merchandise wherever you have access e.g. yard sales, flea markets, online or open a retail store. Use your own gifts and resources to make money and help others save money and everyone wins. If this is your first encounter with the term “liquidation merchandise”, think customer returns, closeouts, overstocks, discontinued merchandise etc. When buying liquidation merchandise for resale you are typically paying a percentage of wholesale cost or a percentage the retail value. Now if you decide to jump into the game make some money in liquidation merchandise take note, all liquidation merchandise is not the same. It does matter from whom you are buying and what you are buying to realize the best profits. This is usually a lesson learned the hard way. It isn’t hard to find liquidation merchandise for sale just Google it. But be warned! Use due diligence. I did some research on a few companies that looked promising and I was shocked. As always check with the Better Business Bureaus, www.ripoffreport.com, www.complaints.com and there’s more, just Google and Google some more. It’s your money. Remember too that internet real-estate is very inexpensive. Anyone can put up nice website in a day so don’t assume that just because they have a nice website they are on the up and up. As you are researching you will find some companies selling liquidation merchandise are just brokers. Buy from them you most likely just paid too much. As you are researching liquidators look for their address on their website and plug it into Google Maps and look at the satellite view. If the map is correct you should be able to tell if it’s a residence or commercial property and get an idea as to how big they are. I’m thinking about doing eBay. I can work it in the evenings without disrupting my life very much. Are you interested?
